There is no standard scheme for the successful treatment of a sleep disorder. The focus must always be on the individual case.
This is the reason why at the LF SLEEP CENTRE, detailed preliminary discussion and thorough diagnostics form the basis of every therapy.
For milder cases of sleep apnea, we may recommend combination of - lifestyle changes, positional therapy, sleep hygiene, nutritional support (NutriLife Center).
If this approach is not sufficient to improve symptoms of apnea, or the degree of apnea is moderate to severe, a number of other state of the art treatments are available – oral appliances, CPAP, sleep surgery.
Somnodent is a custom-made oral appliance resembling boxers’ mouthguard which is adjustable and tailored to your mouth and teeth.
It advances the lower jaw, tongue and adjacent oral structures and thus enlarging the pharyngeal space, decreasing breathing resistance, and mechanically keeping the airway open during sleep. It ensures unobstructed breathing.
- The most effective oral appliance therapy
- More comfortable
- Custom-made design
- You can breathe normally
- Less risk to dentition compared to "universal" solutions
CPAP (Continuous positive airway pressure) is a machine that delivers air pressure through a mask while asleep.
With CPAP the air pressure is somewhat greater than that of the surrounding air and is just enough to keep an upper airway passages open, preventing apnea and snoring.
- Will reduce or stop snoring
- Non-surgical treatment
- Widely used in treatment of obstructive sleep apnea
Many different surgical
procedures have been developed for apnea because it has potentially various
anatomical causes with multiple levels of airway obstruction, from nose to
Therefore, in our LF Sleep Center in order to maximize the efficacy of treatment we offer minimally invasive multi-level sleep surgeries.
- Minimally invasive
- In only one surgery - multi level are addressed
- Definitive treatment
- Combined with CPAP or SOMNODENT
There are several anatomical areas we can treat with different surgery procedures:
- Palate and Tonsil
They will take care of you
